Inside the book
Welcome to Thyme’s World
What might an adult notice during an evening walk? What might a child see instead?
When Papa Elephant and Thyme explore the African savannah together, they discover that the same journey can look very different through another person’s eyes. Papa takes in the wider scene, while Thyme focuses on the small, exciting details that capture a young child’s attention.
Their playful conversation transforms an ordinary walk into an engaging lesson about curiosity, communication, and perspective.

“This is a lovely book for young children. The story is easy to follow, the illustrations are beautiful, and the repeated questions keep children involved from beginning to end. “My little one enjoyed following Thyme and Papa Elephant on their walk. The story is gentle, fun, and educational without feeling like a lesson. Children can learn about animals, colours, sounds, and observation while spending time with the characters. It is a sweet book that parents and children can read together again and again.”
“A Different View is a charming story with an important message about family time and seeing things from another person’s perspective.
